Researchers from the United States believe they have found a link between women who eat ultra-processed foods and an increased risk of depression.

Dietician from Nutrition Plus, Melanie McGrice, says it’s the latest piece of evidence supporting the impact ultra-processed foods have on mental health.

“Having a healthy diet, you’ve got reduced risk of depression and vice versa,” she told 3AW Breakfast.
