The plan also aims to build 800,000 new homes per year over the next decade.

Town Planner, Bill Kusznirczuk, says the plan is “well overdue” and says people who need homes should be protected from “unintended consequences”.

CEO of the Council to Homeless Persons, Deborah Di Natale, says about 32,000 people across the state are on the priority waitlist.
