Maribyrnong Council is removing all rubbish bins from Beavers Reserve at Kingsville.

Why? To protect the growling grass frog.

There’s one problem. The council says it’s “unaware” whether the frog actually lives there.

One local has told Tom Elliott it made little sense.

“I can’t say I’ve ever seen or heard one?” James said on 3AW Drive.

“There’s no creek or pond.”
