Former Carlton forward Dennis Armfield has reflected on his time at Carlton, as the club break a 10-year finals drought when they face the Sydney Swans on Friday night at the MCG.

The club’s last finals appearance happened to be against Sydney as well, with Armfield playing that day, and spoke on his switch from rugby to pursue AFL and his goals at the highest level.

“I was always determined to play the best and be the best of whatever I could at the highest level,” Armfield told Tom Elliott.
