Police are calling on witnesses to come forward after a terrifying near miss in Warrnambool on Wednesday.

Dash cam footage shows a truck towing a trailer fishtailing on Hopkins Highway, with the trailer veering onto the wrong side of the road and almost colliding with an oncoming car at about 9.15am.

The other vehicle drove into a ditch to avoid being hit and the truck didn’t stop at the scene.
