Elderly residents in an Essendon apartment building have had no electricity for three days.

The outage has left those in the Woodland Street building struggling to get out, with residents aged between 75 to 96 years old unable to use the lifts or the stairs.

Anthony is one of the residents and told Neil Mitchell it’s because they’re switching energy providers.
