Essendon star Andrew McGrath says the Bombers desperately need to add some consistency to their form.

It comes after the Bombers again escaped with a narrow win against one of the bottom sides in the competition.

“You play the best teams in the competition and they don’t give you an inch,” he told 3AW Football after the game.
