Alex Prestney, whose brother Josh and three other police officers lost their lives on the Eastern Freeway in April 2020, is running from Mildura to Melbourne as a part of “Run for Road Trauma” aiming to raise money for the horrendous road toll in Victoria.

Mr Prentley ran 34 kilometres from Mildura to Carwarp yesterday and then 36 kilometres from Carwarp to Hattah today, with his parents even joining in to run some parts of the journey!

“Mum was getting a bit sore and hurting a bit, and Dad just kept saying this doesn’t hurt, we’ve done hurt before and this is nothing compared to that,” Mr Prentley told Neil Mitchell.

Press PLAY to hear about his inspiring run + his plea for drivers to be safe on the roads
