Collingwood boss explains why AFL should look at best-of-three grand final series
Collingwood boss Craig Kelly says the AFL would be silly not to explore the possibility of introducing a best-of-three grand final series.
In an agenda-setting interview on 3AW on Friday, the Magpies CEO said the league needed to look at new commercial options to keep the game growing and flourishing.
Kelly lifted the lid on a recent meeting between AFL chiefs, saying a grand final series could be “like our own State of Origin”.

Kelly said there was “nothing to be gained” by trying to block Port Adelaide from wearing their prison-bar guernsey earlier this season.
He also had a message to any rival club looking at Justin Leppitsch as a potential coach.
