Neil Mitchell has unpacked the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission’s (IBAC) mammoth Operation Sandon report and two of the anti-corruption watchdog’s 34 recommendations really stood out to him.

IBAC found developer John Woodman paid councillors in exchange for support for lucrative development projects and funded MPs and candidates in a bid to win support for projects. Two former Casey councillors — Sam Aziz and Geoff Ablett — received more than $1 million between them from Mr Woodman in exchange for their support.
