More horses die as investigation rules out common links
It’s believed up to 13 horses have died since July 14 following news three horses suddenly and mysteriously passed away earlier in the week.
Chief veterinary officer at Agriculture Victoria, Dr Graeme Cooke, says it’s been a worrying time for horse owners as investigations into the cause continue.
“It has suggested that there’re no common links between these incidents … no evidence of infectious disease, so therefore there’s been no reason to restrict horse movement or horse events,” he told Neil Mitchell.
