Have you noticed a growing number of dumped cars littering the roads? Neil Mitchell has been told it’s a growing problem, and stretched councils are taking months to pick them up.
One dumped car — with a police ribbon on it — has been dumped beside the entrance to the Westgate Freeway in Southwharf for several days.

Councillor at Merri-Bek, Oscar Yildiz, said the amount of cars abandoned is a “significant problem” and at least 80 per cent of councils in Victoria have a problem with it.
