A man is fighting for life in hospital following a hit-run crash at Reservoir.

Protective Services Officers witnessed the incident at the intersection of Spring and Edwardes Street just before 10pm last night and rendered assistance to the 57-year-old pedestrian.

A 26-year-old Thomastown man was arrested after allegedly returning to the scene half an hour later.
