For the first time in Australian history, it’s projected there will be more people over 65 than under 18 in the country within a decade, with a taskforce being introduced to assist with the struggling aged care system.

Chief Executive of aged care peak body, Aged and Community Care Providers Association, Tom Symondson, is on the taskforce and says “everything is on the table” to help improve the funding of the system.

“We’ve got this incredible problem of not being able to afford to live in the care that people want and deserve,” Mr Symondson told Neil Mitchell.
