Detectives have charged three teenage boys following a carjacking in Cranbourne East last month.

A taxi driver picked up three male passengers on Barnby Grove when the males, who were armed with knives, allegedly threatened the driver and made him get out of the car.

The offenders then allegedly drove away in the stolen taxi, which was later found dumped in Clyde.

Two 14-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with aggravated carjacking.
