Matthew Lloyd has opened up about his struggles in front of goal early in his career.

It comes as Carlton forward Harry McKay continues to suffer intense media scrutiny about his wayward goalkicking of late.

“I was embarrassed, I lost all my confidence, didn’t know where the next goal was coming from,” Lloyd said.
