Melbourne footy league bans spectators from huddles
The Essendon and District Football League has moved to ban spectators from joining the huddle at the end of a quarter on the back of a number of troubling incidents.
EDFL chief Andrew Johnston told Tom Elliott joining the huddle at quarter-time and three-quarter-time would be banned from next week.
“There’s been a number of incidents over the period of time but we just thought that we need to make a stand as a league, as a society,” Mr Johnston told Tom Elliott.
