Neil Mitchell has called a speech made by the Australian Pork chief executive one of the most “passionate” and “articulate” speeches he’s heard.

Margo Andrae spoke to a Senate estimates hearing on Thursday about animal activists who have been “terrorising farmers”.

“These people need to be called out, they represent very little in this country,” Ms Andrae told the Senate estimate hearing.

Ms Andrae spoke to Neil Mitchell today following her speech – she says farmers are being bombarded by animal activists.

“It’s crossing a line, it’s bullying, it’s impinging on people’s safety,” she said.
