The husband of the Centrelink worker stabbed at Airport West on Tuesday says she narrowly avoided having her spine severed and he’ll be shocked if she works again.

A man has been charged over the incident.

Andrew Giusti told Neil Mitchell his wife was very likely to explore her legal options.

“She shouldn’t have been put in that position,” he said.

He said she’d been working at Services Australia for 36 years.

“I think that will be it for her,” he said.
