What the transport union boss says is to blame for Jetstar’s abysmal record
Jetstar customers have been ordered to arrive at the airport earlier after the airline recorded abysmal punctuality and reliability results.
In April, more than 40 per cent of Jetstar flights were delayed and almost 600 were cancelled.
But national secretary of the Transport Workers Union, Michael Kaine, told Ross and Russel passengers are in no way to blame for the airline’s appalling record.

Domestic check-in and bag drop now closes 40 minutes before departure (10 minutes earlier than previous rules) and international check-in and bag drop closes at least 60 minutes before departure. Boarding gates for all flights will now close 20 minutes before departure.
