Following news that Victorians will have a new myki operator under Conduent Business Services, Victorians will be able to use their iPhones along with their credit cards.

Spokesperson for the Public Transport Users Association Daniel Bowen has welcomed the news.

“It’s definitely a good thing, I think people who have been travelling have seen bigger and better systems, particularly credit card options for fare payments, I think will be very welcome,” Mr Bowen told Tom Elliott.

Press PLAY to hear what the new contract will bring for Victorians

The contract will last for 15 years and will cost 1.7 billion. Trials begin next year after Conduent takes over in December.
