Neil Mitchell has delivered a passionate plea to the state government to make sure serial killer Paul Denyer is kept behind bars, after he was refused parole.

Denyer killed three women in 1993, and the 3AW Mornings host has claimed it’s time to “end the cruelty to victims of crime”.

“It’s so wrong on so many levels,” he said.

Former chief magistrate Nick Papas KC then spoke on how the federal government can pass specific legislation towards individuals like Paul Denyer to keep him in jail.

“I don’t like it personally, I feel that it’s a dangerous step to provide the legislation for individuals,” he told Neil Mitchell.
