Following Telstra’s nationwide mobile network outage yesterday, the Telecommunications Ombudsman have released their latest complaints report.

Telecommunications Ombudsman, Cynthia Gerbert, revealed that Australians were facing more delays in getting connections, and had slower data speeds.

“These are things that really frustrate people,” Ms Gerbert told Neil Mitchell.

Press PLAY to hear the issues Australians are facing

Between January and March this year, problems with internet services increased by 8.5 per cent and NBN issues increased by 13 per cent.

Ms Gerbert urged Australians to complain when connection issues arise.

“It actually creates a better sense of hotspots of where issues may be localised and where there’s an intervention,” she said.

“Complain to your telco provider or complain to us.”
