The AFL has announced Tasmania as the 19th team in the league, marking a historic day for the state.
AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan spoke to the media a short time ago from North Hobart Oval.
“It’s a big day for football, it’s a big day for Tasmanians and I believe it’s a big day for all AFL supporters,” McLachlan said.
