LATEST: A 40-year-old woman has been arrested after a cyclist was injured in a disturbing alleged hit-run at Noble Park.

The woman came forward on Monday after police released dashcam footage of the incident.

Robert Clarke, 59, was cycling on Douglas Street at about 6.40am on April 13 when he was passed by a white Mitsubishi Lancer, which then came to a stop and allowed him to pass before allegedly accelerating towards him, mounting the curb and striking him.

“I had no engagement with the driver. The first time I saw the driver was when I went past because the driver stopped and allowed me to go past,” he told Neil Mitchell.

He was thrown from his bike, which was dragged along the road for over 100 metres.
