Wishing line: The lovely way an aged care home is lifting residents’ spirits
An aged care home in Queensland is lifting the spirits of residents by making their wishes come true.
Residents at Nanyima Aged Care near Mackay endured lengthy lockdowns during COVID-19, so staff introduced a wishing line where they could peg up their wishes, which staff then tried to make come true.
Diversional therapist at Naniyma Aged Care, Tanya Tooma, said the residents’ wishes were modest.
