RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Twenty two-week-old ostrich chicks have been stolen from a breeding room at Australia’s last remaining commercial ostrich farm.

Owner and operator of Hastings Ostrich Farms, Michael Hastings, discovered the theft when he went to feed the chicks on Monday morning.

“I’ve got not idea what’s motivated these people,” he told Jacqui Felgate and Jimmy Bartel, filling in for Ross and Russel.

“The reality is that ostriches when they’re young do require specialist care.”
