Carlton star Sam Docherty and Collingwood legend Tony Shaw have thrown their support around Sydney Swan Paddy McCartin after he was subbed out of the first quarter against Port Adelaide with concussion.

McCartin has a long history with concussion, with the former number one draft pick leaving the game in 2019 due to constant head knocks before returning to the AFL last year.

“It’s really cruel what he’s gone through,” Shaw said.
