The Federal Government are looking to crack down on the sale and importation of vaping products in Australia.

Up to 90 million vapes were imported into Australia last year, with manager at VicHealth, Emma Saleeba, believing it’s about time the Federal Government took the issue of vaping seriously.

“We’re hoping to see some action there that will definitely help to reduce the access to these sorts of products that contain nicotine,” Ms Saleeba told Tom Elliott.

“Ideally we would like to see these products not available as consumer products on shop corners, and only available to smoke through a therapeutic pathway.”
