The impact of exercise on mental health
A psychiatrist says there is no doubt exercise can be just as effective as counselling and medication for treating mental health issues, in some instances.
Tanveer Ahmed said it was something every person should be doing, regardless of their mental health.
“I think when people are really unwell, they just lack motivation to do even the very basic things, so that’s not something you can really just tell those who are really unwell,” he told 3AW Drive.
