Why space agencies want a time zone for the Moon
The European Space Agency is calling for the moon to be allocated a time zone.
It comes amid a boom in the number of lunar missions in planning.
Astronomer with the Australian National University, Dr Brad Tucker, says it’s logical.

“You may be saying it’s nighttime, I may be saying it’s daytime but at the end of the day you’re both on the moon next to each other!,” he told Ross and Russel.
“People are realising we’re going to start to have issues of things working together and communicating on the moon itself.”
