Neil Mitchell believes a disagreement may be delaying a decision on a supervised injecting room in the CBD.

The 3AW Mornings host has heard unconfirmed rumours that there’s a disagreement between Ken Lay, who has been tasked with putting together a report on the controversial injecting room, and the state government.

“I get the sense the process is off the rails badly,” he said. “If I’m right, it will explode eventually, and very loudly.”

Mr Lay’s report was meant to be finalised at the end of 2020, but still hasn’t been released.

Mr Lay has declined to comment on the matter. 3AW Mornings has asked the state government to comment and is awaiting a response.
