Racing boss calls on clubs to consider significant dress code change
Racing Victoria boss Andrew Jones has called on the state’s race clubs to ditch dress codes in a bid to attract more people to the sport.
While dress codes don’t apply in the general admission section of most racecourses, Jones said what a person is wearing shouldn’t be a barrier to them getting into the members or other exclusive parts of the track.
“It’s a matter for clubs, but if I were running a club, that is what I’d do,” Jones told Ross and Russel.
