Police are investigating a fire at a new floating nightclub at Docklands.

Fire crews were called to North Wharf just after 4.30am on Tuesday morning following multiple Triple Zero calls reporting smoke and flames.

Crews arrived on scene to find a commercial barge on fire and worked quickly to get the fire under control.

Nobody was on the boat at the time.
