Intense storm sparks flash flooding and leaves thousands without power
More than 9000 homes are without power after an intense storm cell lashed Geelong and the Bellarine.
And those at Winchelsea, Lorne, Beeac and surrounds are being told they’re in danger and should stay inside for the next several hours as rain smashes the Surf Coast and parts of the Otways.
It was enough for the Bureau of Meteorology to issue an official emergency warning at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
