Passengers on Jetstar flight JQ35 from Melbourne to Bali have been rebooked on another flight due to leave on Wednesday afternoon.

The flight was forced to make a dramatic U-turn after Indonesian authorities denied the aircraft clearance to land due to miscommunication.

The flight was only around 40 minutes from their destination.

Dave, who’s daughter was on the flight, said communication from Jetstar hasn’t been good.

“I think when they arrived at Melbourne Airport their reception wasn’t great either,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“There was not a great deal of understanding and sympathy, and they’d obviously prefer something like a refund of their ticket, to make up for all the messing around they’ve had.”
