Thick fog this morning is causing delays and flight diversions.

Spokesperson for Melbourne Airport, Andrew Lund, says four international flights coming into Melbourne have had to divert this morning.

“A couple have diverted to Sydney and one has gone to Adelaide,” he told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.

“There’s been a lot of airborne holding, so circling if you like, for domestic flights coming into Melbourne just because with the fog so thick we can’t get the same number of aircraft on the runways as we usually would.”
