Six youths arrested after Barina bogged in Melbourne’s west
Six teens, some as young as 14, have been arrested after the allegedly stolen car they were travelling in got bogged in the city’s west yesterday.
The police chopper spotted a Holden Barina travelling at speed on Robbs Road in Point Cook at about 4am. The car entered Crawfords Road and hit a dead end before getting bogged in mud.
Six teens — aged 14 and 15 — ran from the vehicle and hid in a paddock.
It’s alleged the car was stolen in a burglary nearby a few hours earlier.
A 14-year-old girl, two 14-year-old boys and two 15-year-old boys have been released pending further enquiries.
Another 15-year-old boy is expected to be summonsed to a children’s court at a later date.
