A car has been repeatedly rammed in a road rage incident at Glen Waverley.

Police have been told the driver of a Land Rover cut off a Subaru Wagon on Springvale Road near Dunlop Road at 6pm last night.

When the vehicles were side by side at the next set of traffic lights, there was a verbal altercation.

As the driver of the Subaru drove off, the driver of the Land Rover rammed the victim’s car several times.

The driver of the Land Rover then fled the scene after abandoning the car on the centre median strip.

The victim sought refuge in a nearby bottle shop car park.

The driver of the Land Rover is expected to be interviewed in relation to a number of traffic related offences and conduct endangering life. 

Police are appealing for witnesses.
