Evacuation notice for primary school in Victoria’s north
An evacuate now warning has been issued for a primary school in Victoria’s north.
The water level at the levee at Koondrook Primary School, which is beside the Murray River, has reached the maximum design levee height and there are concerns about its integrity.
Anyone in the vicinity of the school is urged to leave now.
In a Facebook post, Koondrook Fire Brigade says “there is no failure of the levee at the school”.
“It is simply a request from the school/education department that kids don’t attend,” the post read.
