“You don’t want to be a landlord anymore”: Real estate agent blasts VCAT for siding with tenant
A real estate agent has blasted the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) for siding with a tenant who hadn’t paid rent for eight months over the landlord.
VCAT deals with disputes in a range of different areas, including a complaint from a landlord about one tenant.
John Verduci, director and licensed real estate agent at Trimson Partners, labelled VCAT a “joke” for its decision.
“It’s just becoming a joke at VCAT, some of the decisions being handed out lately, you don’t want to be a landlord anymore,” Mr Verduci told Tom Elliott.
“We need an overhaul of VCAT.”
