Kalorama resident’s ‘devastating’ wait to rebuild home affected by storms
Kalorama resident, Natalie Guest, has been left “devastated” after her home was destroyed by storms in June last year and still hasn’t been able to rebuild on the land.
The local council has deemed the land uninhabitable due to a landslip which occurred in 1905, which has left both the resident and insurance companies both perplexed by the council’s decision.
“Horrendous, we lost our home, complete devastation, totally gone and we can’t rebuild,” Ms Guest told Neil Mitchell.
“We are just not being thrown a line at all. There has been so much devastation.”
