Victorian MP blasts Andrews government’s netball deal
A Victorian MP has taken aim at the Andrews government’s $15 million deal with Netball Australia.
Liberal Democrat MP David Limbrick says “we have to show fiscal restraint”.
“I think the government just throwing money around like this, just bailing out organsations, is not the way to do it,” he told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
“They claim it’s going to be good for tourism. I haven’t seen any numbers or return on investment … and I doubt any of it was actually done.
“We need to prioritise here.”
