Gross contamination has risen in curbside bins in recent times, resulting in 20 per cent of recyclables in Victoria ending up in landfill.

A waste management executive claims there’s a ‘simple’ solution to the problem.

“If you keep it simple, you’ll get it right,” Gayle Sloan, CEO of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia told Tom Elliott.
