19-year old Riley has had his drivers licence reinstated after losing it to a confusing speed limit change in Frankston.

Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Shane Patton, was briefed on the situation yesterday and took action, with Riley’s demerit points to be unwound and licence restored to him.

Neil Mitchell spoke to Riley yesterday about losing his licence and job unfairly, and spoke with him again earlier to talk about the good news.

“They basically said we’re going to undo everything, money is going to be sent back to you, you should be driving as soon as possible,” Riley said.

“It’s a fantastic result, now I can finally go out and hopefully find another job.”
