The ACT has become the first Australian jurisdiction to decriminalise illicit drugs in small quantities.

Heroin, cocaine and speed are among those drugs.

“They’re not making them legal, what they are doing is taking them out of the criminal justice system,” Greg Barns SC, Criminal Justice Spokesman Australian Lawyers Alliance, told 3AW Drive.
