The important message from the SES as floodwaters rise
The State Emergency Service (SES) is urging anyone who is in doubt about their flood risk to relocate to higher ground.
Victorian SES deputy chief officer, David Baker, says while the rain has now passed, rivers may continue to rise for “the next day or so”, so Victorians shouldn’t become complacent.
“Even as the sky is clear the flooding risk remains very real,” he told Ross and Russel.
