A Victorian Supreme Court judge has unleashed in court, sharing comments Neil Mitchell says are “unusual” and a “real cry” for the community to do better.

Justice Lex Lasry made the comments while sentencing Bradley James Taylor for the murder of another man while experiencing methamphetamine-fuelled psychosis.

“Is the system broken? This judge seems to be saying it is,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
