Jimmy Bartel says he’d be interested in the AFL’s football operations boss role, now Brad Scott has signed as coach of Essendon.

A news report on Thursday night linked Bartel as being a possible contender for the role.

“Yeah, I think I would be interested,” Bartel said on 3AW when learning of the report.
