Footy’s most prominent medical voice says he doesn’t think Max Holmes should play in the grand final due to his hamstring injury.

Dr Peter Larkins told 3AW it was too risky.

“My instinct is he hasn’t done enough to show that he isn’t a liability,” he said.

“I love Max Holmes and he’s a great player and was last week and has had a great season, but the grand final throws up special challenges to the medical staff.”
